How many doors open when one closes?

I was reminded of this quote recently:

“When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.”
Alexander Graham Bell

In fact, as NBA’s top mindset coach David Nurse’s mother said to him… when one closes – 4 open – with a beach front patio too!

Over my many years of supporting people, from my medical practice, to mentoring, managing, leading and coaching, I have noticed this is so, so true.

In fact, I actively look for ALL THE POSSIBLE DOORS – and suggest my clients do too. When you look for the possibilities, the options, they’re always there.

You really do get what you focus on.

Focus on the closed door and all you’ll see is the closed door.

Focus on the open doors, the beach, the sand and the sun and you will find it!
